Kids Corner Loving who you are and the beauty inside of others starts early! The Shades of Beauty Expo organizers want to foster self-esteem in our youth and help stop bullying. With that in mind, the 2018 Kids’ Corner theme will be, “Celebrate the beauty in everyone. Stop bullying!” Age specific contests, discussions, story readings and activities in the Kids’ Corner will be designed to help youth: see their self-worth, overcome the negative impact of being bullied, realize their worth is not dependent on or diminished by the abilities of others, problem solve ways to stop bullying when directed at them or others, show compassion for victims of bullying, and address the importance of looking for, supporting, and celebrating everyone’s beauty.
